For those readers wishing to learn more about Norwegian geology, a selected reference list is presented below. The references are organized in groups covering the individual chapters, starting with Chapter 1 and onwards. A joint reference list is given for those chapters, covering the same theme, such as the geology of the continental shelf.

Space does not permit full reference lists but the editors have chosen both older, classical literature, together with the most recent.

Not all references are easily available and readers are therefore recommended to contact local libraries for help in obtaining these.
