The future of the NCS depends to a large degree on the successful development of small fields. This 2-day conference will present a number of case studies of the development of small and marginal fields on the NCS in all phases of the hydrocarbon maturation cycle. The focus will be on the subsurface challenges experienced in bringing these assets to
production and lessons learned. The conference will also highlight enabling technologies related to reservoir characterization including 4D monitoring, drilling horizontal wells using geological and geophysical data and effective development based on robust earth models.
Presentations will address:
· Exploration results: play type, trap description
· Reservoir characterization
· Development strategy
· Expected recovery factor
· IOR programme/plans
· Economic and infrastructure considerations
· Field’s key subsurface challenges
