This year’s Production Geoscience conference is addressing the issue of competence transfer:
To what extent have we been able to learn from previous exploration - appraisal strategies, field development studies and production history, when initiating new projects, less costly, more profitable and with higher recovery rates? How do we learn, experience and transfer knowledge from mature fields; both within companies and licenses and between companies? Are we driven too hard on NPV and short profitable goals? How is NPD guiding and steering further development and production on the NCS?
The conference will be subdivided in two sessions. The first: To challenge the operators of mature fields to look back and share good and bad experiences. The second: To challenge the operators in field developing projects and in immature fields, to express their main reservoir concern and explain how they intend to solve them. How they have taken and utilized information and knowledge from mature fields.
